“Located on a beautiful hillside in the quaint town of Umbertide La Dolce Villa was just right for us. We were two families traveling together from the US. We found the Villa relaxing and spacious. In particular we enjoyed our morning meals and dinner there while our children swam in the lovely pool. The central location allowed us access to Montone a beautiful walled city, the Adriatic Sea at Fano and Trisameno a gorgeous nearby lake to name a few. A true and wonderful taste of the Italian countryside!”

“Staying at Villa Dolce was my kind of vacation. The charm, beauty and style of the renovated school house were comforting and luxurious--far superior to being in a hotel. I felt like I was truly living in Italy and not at all a tourist. The Villa’s location was also wonderful, as it was out of the way from the tourist areas like the big cities and Tuscany. We could take day trips to the many medieval villages in the surrounding areas and could shop for food at nearby Umbertide and cook Umbrian style as a family at home. The restaurants in Umbertide and Umbria in general were the best we’ve experienced in Italy, and the restaurant staff were pleasant and down to earth. Playing the grand piano, sunbathing by the pool and breakfast on the patio were also wonderful memories of the Villa. I recommend it for anyone with a sense of style “
