Almost equally distant from Rome and Florence, La Dolce Villa, set in the hills of San Benedetto, is around 5 km from Umbertide, the closest town.
The road from Umbertide is sealed, and winds through fields of sunflower, tobacco, vines, and other crops depending on
the season. The patchwork of fields changes constantly as the local farmers plant, nurture, and harvest their crops.
San Benedetto, rather than a village, is simply a collection of small-holdings interspersed with the odd castle or
villa. With a number of supermarkets, banks, and stores, Umbertide will meet most shopping needs.
