The focus of the historic centre, or "Centro Storico", is the Piazza. Every Wednesday morning the produce market is
held, including fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers and plants, and small goods. From this Piazza the stalls flow out
over the bridge and into Via dei Patrioti, where clothing and shoes are displayed.
Around 8 km from La Dolce Villa lies the second closest town, Montone, a "hidden gem" of northern Umbria. This medieval walled town has just 600 inhabitants within its walls. The Piazza here is very picturesque, and there are two cafes where one can observe the local life.
